Smiths Wood Community Primary School

Smiths Wood Community Primary School was opened in March 2009 at an overall cost of £8m.

It represents the combination of two separate primary schools (Bosworth Wood and Kingfisher) and opened as such in September 2009.  It is not only a brand new two form entry school but also includes a new Community Centre managed by the local Parish Council, has Extended Service facilities and an Adult Learning Room.

The school is part of the first brand new Village Centre to be developed under the Local Planning Framework that provides for the development of 5 new village centres throughout the North Solihull area.

The Village Centre, located around a new high street that serves the school, will be the base for new commercial and retail outlets combined with new homes for rent and sale.
